The Mayor of Rotherham will open Magna’s newest attraction this month.
Councillor Eve Rose Keenan will be the first to ‘bounce’ on Yorkshire’s largest indoor inflatable adventure zone at Magna’s launch of the attraction on Friday 11 August.
Magna Mayhem is a new purpose-built indoor world of adventure for children under 11 years old, which will open to the public from Monday 14 August.
To mark the opening, Magna is supporting Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in Sheffield by offering free tickets to Magna Mayhem for siblings of children at the hospice.
John Silker, chief executive at Magna, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Mayor to have the first official bounce on our fantastic new attraction and to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.
“As a local family attraction giving something back to the local community is really important to us, which is why we’ll be supporting Bluebell Wood through their sibling network to provide some well-deserved fun for families affected.
“Magna Mayhem provides a safe and fun environment for all children to let off some steam during the summer holidays and complements our outdoor offering, including Aqua-Tek and Sci-Tek, and the science attraction, to provide a fun-filled day for all the family.”
Magna Mayhem will be open Monday to Friday from 14 to 25 August. Sessions will take place at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm. Advance tickets are available to purchase online at £9.95 each. Walk in tickets cost £11.95. Magna is also offering a discount to families who purchase a full day ticket to the science visitor attraction.
Magna is housed in the former Templeborough steelworks near junction 34 of the M1. As well as boasting a visitor attraction and putting on its own events including the annual Oktoberfest, Wedding Fayre and Eat, Bump, Groove Christmas parties, the venue hosts corporate events for brands including Mercedes, Royal Mail, Kia Motors and HSBC.
