NHS Safeguarding Conference
Client: NHS Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group
Event Size: 750 delegates for an afternoon conference and exhibition
The Brief: One word – Space! A room was required large enough to comfortably hold 750 GPs, Practice Nurses, Practice Managers, Clerical staff and Multi-Agency Partners. As well exhibition space for 20 stands. All under one roof.
The Solution: Magna’s 2000m2 Big Hall was the perfect venue to host the Safeguarding Event. Half of the room was used in a cabaret set-up with a large main stage and relay screens with plenary presentations including Dr Richard Cullen, Chair and Sue Cassin, Chief Nurse both of NHS Rotherham CCG. The other half of the room was used to hold 20 exhibition stands from partner organisations including Barnardo’s, Healthwatch Rotherham and Mankind.
The convenient location and free onsite parking meant delegates could travel to the event easily from their places of work.
Client Feedback: ‘Both pre event and on the day nothing was too much trouble. We felt very welcome at Magna, everyone was willing to help with a smile. With a lot of delegates arriving at the same time we were concerned about long queues for the refreshments, but we needn’t have worried as this was dealt with very swiftly. All of the facilities are well maintained and very clean. We would definitely use Magna again.’ Melanie Robinson, Strategic Planning Officer, NHS Rotherham CCG
